St. Anselm Students Rock Out with the "Million Dollar Quartet" Cast!
On April 19th four middle school students in the guitar ensemble at the St. Anselm School in the South Bronx traveled to New World Stages to watch an electrifying performance of the rock-n-roll hit musical Million Dollar Quartet and rehearse onstage with the talented performers. -

ETM Celebrates "Music in Our Schools Month" with Music Technology Lab Opening at M.S. 424
ETM joined with educators, community members, government officials, and students to celebrate the opening of a state-of-the-art music technology lab at Hunts Point Middle School M.S. 424 in the Bronx. This lab is the second of its kind at an ETM partner school, and is the most advanced music technology lab in New York City public schools.

On January 23, ETM Executive Director Katherine Damkohler and Director of Programs Peter Pauliks spoke to a class of students in the Master's program at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music via videoconference. The Dean of the Conservatory invited Ms. Damkohler and Mr. Pauliks to introduce these graduate students to ETM's model of quality music education. -

On January 18, ETM Music Teacher Chelsea Stern led over 100 string ensemble students in “Breakfast with the Orchestra” at P.S. 182 in the Bronx. -

ETM Advisory Committee Member Walfredo Toscanini passed away on December 31 at the age of 82. An architect and political activist, he also worked to preserve and disseminate the artistic legacy of his family throughout his lifetime. -

Kristen Pappas has joined ETM as Evaluation Associate. This new staff position is made possible by a grant from the Altman Foundation, and will enable ETM to conduct more thorough assessment of program outcomes. -
